Terms and Conditions
1. Who we are
These terms apply to orders placed with ANTELYX through this website. Our business details are in the Legal Notice. You can reach us at info@antelyx.com or through the contact page.
2. Our products are live animals
ANTELYX sells living ant colonies. Colonies are natural animals, so size, colouring, number of workers and brood can vary. Photographs are illustrations. Each product page says what is included. We identify species with care, but the exact identity of some ants, for example within closely related groups, can depend on their origin; where this applies we say so on the species page.
3. Orders and availability
When you place an order online, you make an offer to buy. We contact you by email to confirm availability, shipping to your country and the final amount, and the contract is concluded when we confirm your order. Availability depends on the species, your destination, the rules that apply and the season. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will tell you and explain your options (see the Shipping Policy).
4. Prices
Prices are shown on each product page in euro (EUR). Shipping costs are confirmed by email before you pay.
5. Payment
Payment is by direct bank transfer, as described in Payment Information. Please do not pay before we have confirmed your order.
6. Delivery
Delivery is described in the Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are agreed with you because colonies are living animals, and dates we give are estimates unless we confirm them in writing.
7. Arrival and problems
Please follow the Live Arrival Policy when your colony arrives and tell us promptly about any problem. See Returns and Refunds for cancellation and refunds.
8. Your responsibilities
- You check and follow the rules on keeping ants and on importing animals that apply where you live.
- You provide a correct delivery address and arrange for the parcel to be received.
- You keep the ants securely contained and never release them into the wild.
- You care for the colony as set out in the species information.
9. Legal restrictions and inability to ship
We may decline or cancel an order, or postpone dispatch, where a shipment would be unlawful, a permit is missing, or the weather, the carrier or the condition of the colony makes it unsafe. In that case we contact you and refund what you paid for the undelivered item.
10. Liability and your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
11. Language of this website
This website is written in English. A machine translation into German and Polish is offered for convenience and can be imperfect. If anything is unclear, please ask us.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.
